New Season of From Draft to Craft at the Mill Valley Library

I’m once again teaching From Draft to Craft at the Mill Valley Library this fall. It’s open to all levels and genres and is completely free to attend. Each week we’ll focus on different elements of craft through illustrative story, essay, poetry, novel, or memoir excerpts, using related prompts as jumping-off points for our generative writing. After the generative session, you can share what you’ve written (or not!). We tend to spend a lot of time chatting about and dissecting the optional readings. My aim is to make our readings as witchy as possible this season, but we’ll see what that looks like (we can make anything witchy with enough effort).
Classes meet every other Monday from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. There are four sessions, and registration is by week:
September 21: Point of View and Narration
October 19: Setting vs. Goal
November 16: Dialogue vs. The Unsaid
December 7: Surface and Subtext
Feel free to reach out directly if you have any questions. If registration is full, come anyway! I’m not taking attendance and there’s room for all.
